Program

The conference to be held 18th September 2015 is planned to start at 9:30am and finish by 6:00pm.

Further details of the program will be provided in due time.

In the meantime register to the conference to be able to attend and submit an abstract in one of the following areas.

 

The conference is open to all current students of appropriate Masters courses or those who have graduated in the last two years.

Suggested subject areas

  1. Energy consumption assessment via simulation and measurement, energy audit and energy efficiency
  2. Passive and hybrid strategies for heating and cooling, shading and natural ventilation
  3. Integrated renewable energy, low carbon cooling, solar panels, daylighting and low energy artificial light
  4. Measuring comfort: post occupancy evaluation, indoor air quality, thermal, visual and other subjective surveys
  5. Simulation of occupied buildings, measuring and modelling human behaviour in buildings, embodied energy and thermal mass
  6. BREEAM, LEED, comfort standards, policy and building regulations, passivhaus
  7. Thermal and visual experience as a deliberate element of architectural design
  8. Other subjects in tune with the above

Papers should address one or more of the subject areas below and may be by a single individual or by a group. They must be no more than 6 pages in length including tables, figures references etc. Instructions for layout are given in ‘Guidelines for Authors-MC 2015
